Content Format Guide

Format-Specific Optimization

HookScores™ analyzes all major content formats: videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts, long-form),carousels (multi-slide posts), static images (single image + caption),text posts (LinkedIn, X/Twitter), and ad creatives (paid content).

Each format has different structural requirements. Video hooks need strong verbal and visual pattern interrupts in the first 1-3 seconds. Carousel first slides must create enough curiosity to trigger a swipe. Text posts need an opening line that stops the scroll in a feed full of competing content.

The Scroll-Stop Analysis™ engine adjusts dimension weights based on format. Visual Hierarchy receives higher weight for image and carousel content, while Comprehension Speed is more critical for text-only posts where there's no visual support.

For format-specific optimization tips, explore our guides on why 90% of videos fail in the first 3 seconds and how to create hooks that stop the scroll.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I analyze carousel slides individually?

HookScores™ supports Carousel Mode which evaluates the narrative flow, visual consistency, and swipe triggers across all slides as a cohesive unit. You can also analyze individual slides separately.

Does the image analysis cost extra credits?

Image analysis adds +4 credits per analysis, and carousel mode adds +2 credits per slide. Text-only analysis uses the base credit amount.
